Wound Care

We treat patients requiring management of post surgical, acute, chronic and complex wounds. Always caring and supportive, our nurses are experts in all areas of wound care, including:

    • Negative pressure wound therapy
    • Compression therapy
    • Offloading and management of foot ulceration
    • Pressure injury management
    • Care of flaps, skin grafts & donor sites.

Available upon referral, our wound clinic in Brighton takes patients Monday to Friday. We also provide in-home care services for patients who are unable to attend our practice, as well as acute hospital consultations to assist with transition to the home or other facilities.

The initial and ongoing care of stoma patients is fundamental to ensuring a positive experience and improved quality of life.

Our two resident stoma therapy nurses bring unique expertise and understanding to the table. Offering both inpatient and outpatient consultations, their services include:

  • Preoperative sittings
  • Post operative care
  • Ongoing education and support to assist clients transition and self-manage

Diabetic Foot Care and Support

Diabetic Foot Care and Support

A common complication in diabetic patients, foot disease requires expert care and regular monitoring. 

Experienced in treating diabetic foot ulceration and post surgical management, we also focus on educating the patient in the management of diabetes. 

As strong advocates for a multidisciplinary approach to patient care our clinic has established relationships with podiatrists, surgeons, dieticians, and general practitioners who actively care for diabetic foot disease.

Continence Services

Continence Assessment

A comprehensive evaluation of bladder and bowel function, including medical history, symptoms, lifestyle factors and contributing conditions, to identify the causes of incontinence and develop an appropriate management plan.

Product Review and Recommendations

Assessment of an individual’s continence needs to recommend the most suitable products, including pads, pull-ups, catheters and bed protection, based on absorbency requirements, comfort, skin health, mobility and lifestyle.

Skin Integrity Assessment

Examination of the skin, particularly areas exposed to urine or faeces, to identify redness, irritation, moisture-associated skin damage, pressure injuries or infection. Individualised strategies are then developed to maintain healthy skin and prevent complications.

Lymphoedema Services

Lymphoedema Assessment

A comprehensive assessment of swelling, medical history, skin condition, functional impact and risk factors to diagnose lymphoedema and develop an individualised management plan.

Chronic Oedema Management

Ongoing assessment and treatment of persistent swelling using evidence-based strategies, including compression therapy, skin care, exercise, elevation and self-management education, to reduce symptoms and prevent complications.

Limb Measurement

Accurate limb measurements using circumference or volume assessment techniques to monitor swelling, evaluate treatment outcomes and guide compression therapy.

Lymphorrhoea Management

Assessment and management of lymph fluid leakage, including skin protection, appropriate dressings, compression therapy where clinically indicated, and strategies to reduce infection risk and promote healing.

Compression Recommendations

Assessment and prescription of appropriate compression garments or bandaging based on the individual’s condition, limb measurements, mobility, skin integrity and treatment goals.
